Welcome to the NASD website.

NASD, founded in 1981, is an organization of schools, conservatories, colleges and universities. It has approximately 65 accredited institutional members. It establishes national standards for undergraduate and graduate degrees and other credentials.

Institutional Membership is gained only through the peer review process of accreditation. Individual Membership is available by application.

NASD provides information to potential students and parents, consultations, statistical information, professional development; and policy analysis.

NASD has an extensive publications program.

This web site is intended to provide general assistance regarding the operation of NASD including the accreditation process. Requests for further information may be directed to the National Office staff. NASD accepts no responsibility for the content of any information or web site attached to this site.

PRE-MEETING WORKSHOP

Workshop for New Dance Administrators. NASD is holding its fifth pre-meeting workshop designed for new and aspiring administrators of dance programs. This year's workshop is an all-day session, 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 11th.

NASD 2009 ANNUAL MEETING

The 2009 NASD Annual Meeting will be held September 10 - 13 at the Don CeSar Beach Resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida.
