Lena Lauer

Lena Lauer is the Director of Education Programs at the José Limón Dance Foundation. She is a dance artist, producer and teacher who has created and performed work from the Sonoran Desert of the Southwest to the Andes Mountains of South America. She serves as Co-Founder and Co-Director of The Lovelies, a dance compositional improvisation company based in New York City, and teaches at the Mark Morris Dance Center and The Joffrey Ballet School. Ms. Lauer curates for the FIGMENT project every summer on Governor’s Island and is the Artistic Director of The Joffrey Experience.

Ms. Lauer holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Ohio University.
