Hotel Reservations and Cut-Off Date
To make hotel reservations for the NASD Annual Meeting, please visit Snowbird Reservations.
The NASD group rate is only available online via the Snowbird Reservations link above. Please do not use the Snowbird – General Information link to make room reservations. There is no need to enter a group code when utilizing the website link above. All Annual Meeting sessions will be held in The Cliff Lodge; the NASD group rate is for accommodations in that building.
Reservations may also be made by calling Snowbird toll-free at (800) 232-9542 or (800) 453-3000. Ask for the “National Association of Schools of Dance” room block and request a written confirmation of your reservation.
It is imperative to have written confirmation of your reservation before leaving for Utah. Registrants should correspond directly with the resort if confirmation is not received within a reasonable amount of time.
Snowbird Resort is holding preferred reservations for NASD through Saturday, August 20. After that date, room assignments will be made on a space-available basis, and the NASD group rate may not be offered. Prospective attendees whose plans are uncertain at this time are encouraged to make reservations now, and cancel later if necessary. (Please review hotel policies regarding the time frame for cancellation without penalty.) Once the hotel is at full capacity, or the NASD room block is filled, other accommodations will need to be secured. Unfortunately, NASD is not able to assist participants in finding alternate lodging.
Room Rate and Amenities
The room rate for NASD Annual Meeting attendees is $169 per night, single or double occupancy, for accommodations in The Cliff Lodge. Customary daily resort fees are waived for NASD attendees. A deposit equal to the amount of one night’s stay will be charged at the time of making the reservation.
NASD attendees will receive complimentary Internet access in their guest rooms. Complimentary Internet access is also available in public areas of the hotel.
NASD Annual Meeting attendees will receive a 50% discount on access to The Cliff Spa. Facilities include a solarium, full-service salon, eucalyptus steam room, dry sauna, yoga room, rooftop lap pool and hot tub, as well as extensive cardiovascular and training equipment. NASD attendees may participate in yoga classes at no additional charge. The daily access fee is waived with the purchase of select treatments. NASD attendees will receive a discount of 20% off select spa treatments.
Annual Meeting Attire
Business Casual attire is appropriate for meeting sessions and is acceptable at all restaurants on-property. Walking/hiking footwear and outdoor attire are strongly encouraged for outdoor activities. Daytime temperatures are typically in the 60s-70s, with temperature dropping into the 50s and possibly below after sunset.
Snowbird Resort is 7,900 feet above sea level. Hidden Peak, on the Snowbird property, rises to 11,000 feet and is accessible by tram. Due to the Resort’s elevation, the air is dry, which may be especially noticeable for those living at or near sea level or in a humid climate. Individuals should plan to take precautions as may be necessary.
It is strongly encouraged to be attentive to hydration, as well as to activity levels in order to avoid possible uncomfortable effects of altitude. Individuals should consult their health professionals as desired regarding specific questions.
The plated Luncheon for the Association on Friday, September 16 and Annual Dinner on Saturday, September 17 will feature either chicken or fish as the entrée. Attendees who wish to request vegetarian entrées should do so in advance by checking the appropriate box on the Annual Meeting registration form. Individual special orders are not possible except for situations where the attendee has a specific requirement for medical reasons. In these cases, please notify NASD staff as early as possible.
Should a registrant desire special assistance or accommodations due to a disability, the registrant may wish to contact the National Office to ascertain whether desired assistance can be provided by NASD. Individuals are asked to contact the NASD office in advance. If registering on site, individuals should speak with a member of the NASD staff at the registration desk.
