1934-2016
NASD joins the dance community in mourning the passing of Vickie Blaine on December 26, 2016. Vickie devoted her life to dance and academia, working in the Department of Dance at The Ohio State University as a teacher, choreographer, and chair of the department from 1983-1995.
Vickie served NASD with distinction as Treasurer and as a member of the Board of Directors. As well, she served as an Annual Meeting presenter and participant, and visiting evaluator for many years.
Vickie was recognized nationally for her work on the Council of Dance Administrators.
The National Office staff joins with the Association in expressing deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and colleagues.
